A# Singers is founded in mid-2005 by 6 enthusiastic singers who are former members of the Hong Kong Children's Choir (HKCC). Members have extensive local and overseas performing experiences and are very active in the Hong Kong music scene.  With no instrumental accompaniment, singers use human voices to imitate sounds of different music instruments.  Since its establishment, the group appears frequently in Government and corporate events and performs regularly in shopping malls.  In May 2006, invited by RTHK and Southern Television, A# Singers had its first performance outside Hong Kong in a TV Show in Guangzhou.  The group presented 7 full house shows, “A cappella +”, "Within One Second" and "Jazz n' the Pop" at Fringe Club, Arts Centre, Cultural Centre & City Hall since its establishment. 

To promote a cappella in Hong Kong, A# Singers presented a cappella workshops at the "1st Global Outstanding Chinese Children and Youth Singing Festival" as well as summer programs of the Hong Kong Society for the Protection of Children in 2007.

A#'s mission is to inherit HKCC's goal of spreading the message of love and peace to the world and to entertain all listeners with their delightful tunes.

The Meaning behind "A#"

“A” stands for “a cappella” while “#” is composed of 4 “plus signs”, symbolizing excellency in 4 vocal parts and the blending of different parts in 1 voice.
